MicroMega K-Files are the most used standard manual instruments for root canal debridement. With a 2% taper, packaged in sterile blister of 6 these instruments are available in different tip diameters from n°06 to n°140.
Exploration of a root canal with a K-lime provides information on its diameter, curve and mineralization status. A K-Files allows to evaluate the difficulty of treatment and select the most suitable instrumental sequence, while eliminating the first mechanical stresses. A K-Files is used to estimate the working length during initial exploration, with or without an electronic apex locator. The use of K-Files to recap after each action performed with a mechanized NiTi file allows the correct descent path to be followed, reduces the risk of instrumental fracture, carefully explores the apical third and ensures its permeability.
